Pieris Mountain Fire
Pieris mountain fire is ideal for pots or garden shrub borders.
Slow-growing Japanese pieris (Pieris japonica) fulfills multiple roles in the garden. The cultivar “Mountain Fire,” with its bright red new growth and cascading racemes of white flowers, is a vibrant addition to the garden. Despite its relatively slow growth rate, “Mountain Fire” is a versatile plant that offers year-round interest.
“Mountain Fire” is slow growing, meaning it gains less than 12 inches in height in a single growing season. “Mountain Fire,” in fact, usually gains much less than that, only growing to 4 feet in height and 3 feet in width in the first 10 years of its life. After that, it may continue to grow, eventually reaching a full height of 6 to 8 feet. It is a smaller cultivar than the Japanese pieris species plant, which can reach 9 to 12 feet in height when full grown.
Available in the garden pavilion for €7.99 along with other varieties of pieris.
