Children’s Autumn Gardening Class at Powerscourt Garden Pavilion
As the winter months approach, the drop in temperatures makes life hard for our garden birds. Birds need to eat as much high energy food as possible to try to keep warm and healthy during this cold season. In an effort to make sure that our feathered garden visitors survive the winter, it’s a good idea to put a bird feeder in your garden.
Powerscourt Garden Pavilion is holding a fun, children’s gardening class on the 28th of September to help our garden birds. Children will learn how to put together bird feeders from recycled materials which they can bring home afterwards and hang outside in the garden. Then the bird-watching fun can begin! Children love making crafts, particularly when they can get continued enjoyment from their work throughout the year. The event costs €5 for children while adults are free of charge.
