Christmas Floral Inspiration with Camelia Austen
This morning Camelia wowed us with her wonderfully creative and artistic creations for Christmas and they are certainly pieces that anyone could try at home. Camelia was really good at sharing her tips with the audience which was highly appreciated by all. Camelia said she was like a child in a candy shop in the Pavilion as there was so much choice and she chose some nice key pieces from the shop floor for her displays.
Camelia's first piece was inspired by Wild Flowers.
Line a tray with cellophane and leave it to drape over the sides, it can be trimmed once the piece is completed. Next insert 2 blocks of oasis, be sure to submerge it in water first. At the very edges insert cypress to cover the oasis. Then using twigs, gathered from your garden, create an outer boundary along two sides of the oasis, use different heights to create some depth. Cameila decided on some stars from the garden centre and glued these to kebab sticks then inserted them next to the twigs to add a festive look. Once you have created some texture with your foliage and twigs it is time to add some colour with flowers. Camelia chose;
