The thing I like about Camelia is the way in which she makes floral arranging so easy not to mention how she can work her magic on just about anything. For example she chose candles holders from the Garden Pavilion and created three arrangements which are ideally suited to a dinner table and can be placed intermittently rather than using one long centerpiece - you must have room for the brussel sprouts after all :)
For these arrangements Cameila chose a yellow colour theme, not usually associated with Christmas but it certainly made for a refreshing change. Again it is a good idea to have three textures with different foliage and then incorporate colour with flowers such as roses and in particular the avalanche rose as it will last a couple of weeks.
How to condition roses;
Remove the leaves from the stem, if placed in water they will rot.
Cut an inch from the bottom of the stem, ideally at an angle.
Place it in tepid water straight away before it has a chance to seal.
Add a drop of bleach, this will kill any bacteria in the water.
Ideally condition over night before placing in an oasis.
You can also use some additional ornaments in your arrangement to make it more festive like glitter baubles or a bird, as Cameila used in these floral pieces.
Thanks again Cameila and we look forward to having you back to the Garden Pavilion soon!
