- When planning an Easter Trail, you can start with putting together really cute rhyming Easter egg hunt clues to use when you are hiding the Easter eggs.
Ten Eater Bunny has been here this morning,
Just before the dawning
He hid some eggs along the way,
If you want to find them, please stay and start to play,
Follow the clues, you need to be wise,
Because they are going to lead you to the Prize!
- Weather permitting, you can have your Easter egg hunt indoor, outdoor or even more adventurous, have it in the woods, if there are any close by!
- Always have a few extra baskets ready, just in case some guests have forgotten theirs.
- Remember, it doesn’t have to be expensive, you can buy your eggs (or sweets) in the super market and make your baskets or bags yourself.
- Another idea would be to colour code your eggs to age of the little ones or even different coloured eggs for boys and girls. Hopefully it will encourage a team spirit to help each other find the eggs and even the smaller kids to take their time to find their eggs!
- Even add letters to the eggs. The one who can make the longest word – wins a prize (it could be a non-chocolate prize of course!)
- Remember to keep count of all the eggs – you don’t want to keep finding eggs weeks later.
- Or even go sugar free when you are stuffing your plastic Easter eggs e.g. money, clues to bigger presents or movie tickets for the bigger kids.
- And last but not least, what about an Easter egg hunt that starts the night before. Use glow in the dark paint to paint your eggs or Easter treasure, hand them flash lights and let the egg hunt begin!!
- It’s hard work to look for Easter eggs, so once the young ones are finished, have a lovely made up Easter table with nibbles, hot cross buns, and fruit juices ready for them to enjoy.
