The SEEDS are in the Pavilion!
It’s cold and raining but it is still a great time to plan and get your garden started. Whether you are planning a vegetable garden or your herbaceous border, we have some fantastic choices for you to make!
If peppers are your thing, we have fourteen different varieties to make it hard to decide! We have at least thirty different lettuce leaves, twenty-eight herbs, ten beetroot and sixteen carrots. Two of these carrot choices are carrot fly resistant; Flyaway and (it’s in the name…) Risistafly ‘Tozresis’ F1. My current carrot choice would be Paris Market-Atlas as they have short round roots and I pop these little plants into spare spaces in pots on my patio. It is a great carrot for kids to grow in window boxes as it’s quick growing, bite sized.

If you are planning a herbaceous border/garden then come here for inspiration. My first choice this year was Night Scented Stock. These are simple lilac flowers that can be scattered in between all your plants as long as it suits your colour scheme. Why not add this to containers and baskets near your doors and windows to enjoy the amazing scent this flowers gives. I love Aquilegia Sweet Rainbows which also have a really nice fragrance.
These beautiful flowers come in bright pastels and will brighten up any spot! One really unusual annual is Amaranthus Pony Tails. This plant has long tassels of red and golden green that can be used in cut flower arrangements as well as adding height and interest to your border. One great summer flower is Cornflower Dwarf Jubilee Gem. Also easy to grow, Cornflower buds are as beautiful as the blue butterfly loving flower itself. It has a compact growth habit so plant a few together for a bigger impact!
Enough tempting you! Come down and see the hundreds of seeds and bulbs for yourself!
