From curing the common cold to Friday night mojitos, there are many everyday uses for herbs beyond the simple garnish. With a ready-made supply of herbs you can make your own home-made perfume, go on a detox or simply make some delicious salads.
If you are would like to know more about herbs and their uses, join Kitty Scully for a fun and light-hearted talk on April 3rd from 2 to 3pm. Kitty, RTÉ presenter of 'How to create a garden,' will give advice on starting a herb garden at home, growing, soil and seed types, transplants, maintenance and more. Kitty will also talk about harvesting herbs and using them in cooking as well as their medicinal and beauty uses.
Start the summer with a supply of fresh, tasty, seasonal, air-mile free food at your doorstep. You can’t really get much more local than your own back garden or balcony! The event is free of charge and no booking is required.
